JOB TITLE: Music Therapist

TYPE: PT Employee- starting with 15hrs/week with room to grow.

PAY: $23-27hr. based on education and experience.

SCHEDULE: Monday to Friday (no evenings past 6PM)

  • Individuals and groups of developmentally/intellectually disabled adults

Chesapeake Music Therapy is a quickly growing Music Therapy private practice located in Salisbury, MD. We serve a wide variety of populations and settings across 4 counties on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. Populations include:

JOB DESCRIPTION: We are seeking a candidate that has a strong work ethic, values working as a team, has exceptional communication skills, flexibility and ability to share in the expansion of awareness and access to music therapy services on the rural Maryland Eastern Shore. Clinical responsibilities include: intake, assessment, treatment planning, leading individual and group music therapy sessions, documentation and evaluation towards goals.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Therapy or Music Therapy Equivalency

  • Board Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC)

  • Licensed as a Professional Music Therapist in MD (LPMT)

  • Candidates must demonstrate clinical proficiency on piano, guitar, voice, and percussion

  • Must show proof of car insurance
